Zhang Liuhua, was born in Xihua, Henan Province, in 1976. Ph.D. Full Professor.

He served in a district-level party and government office in Shanghai from 2002 to 2012.
He has worked in the Philosophy Department of East China Normal University since March 2012.
He was a visiting scholar at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) from March 2015 to March 2016, a Senior Research Fellow at Oxford University from September 2024 to February 2025.
He was selected in the Shanghai Pujiang Talents Program in 2017, the Zijiang Excellent Young Scholars (ECNU) in 2021.

By 2025, over 70 papers have been published in academic journals such as Social Sciences in China, History and Philosophy of Logic.
He published monograph "The Logic-Facet of Peirce’s Philosophical System, Focusing on his Work in Mathematics, Semiotics and Pragmatism" (Shanghai People's Publishing House, 2012; revised edition, Guangxi Normal University Press, 2024).
He independently completed the translation into Chinese of Anscombe’s "Intentions" (China Renmin University Press - World Philosophical Masterpieces Series, 2008), "The Middle Works of John Dewey, Volume 2" (East China Normal University Press, 2012), von Wright’s "Explanation and Understanding" (Zhejiang University Press, 2016) and so on.
“A Plea for a Peircean Turn Justify Logic” was awarded the Honorable Mention of the Charles S. Peirce Society's 2014 Essay Contest of the Year.
“Philosophical Language and Its Ethics of Terminology” won the second prize of the 14th Outstanding Achievement Award of Philosophy and Social Sciences (Academic Award) in Shanghai.
“On C.S. Peirce’s Philosophy of Logical Notation” won the Shanghai Outstanding Scientific Research Achievement of Graduate Students (Degree Thesis) Award and the third prize of the 5th Jin Yuelin Academic Award (Master's Thesis).
“Peirce and Quantifier” won the first prize of the second Logic Excellent Academic Achievement (Thesis category) in Shanghai.
